Windows version

System Requirements: Windows 95/98/ME/XP/2000 , DirectX version 5.0 or later, 10 MB free space on your hard disk, A connection to the internet via Windows Sockets

Installation
1. Download the game
2. Open the downloaded file to start the installation
3. Before you can play, you have to create a new Account.
4. To start the game execute Tibia.EXE from within Windows..

Linux version (NOTE: CIP do not ensure ongoing support of the Linux client anymore.)

System requirements: A LINUX-computer which is binary compatible with one of the precompiled versions offered below (Tcl/Tk must be installed at your host).

Installation
1. Download the version that is binary compatible with your computer (all files hosted by the CIP server).
2. Extract the file using one of the following commands. A "tibia"-subdirectory will be created automatically.

tar xvfz tibia-xxx.tar gnutar xvfz tibia-xxx.tgz zcat tibia-xxx.tgz | tar xf -

3. Before you can play, you have to create a new Account.
4. Start the game in the directory "tibia" with the command tibia.
