Monster tips
Here are some general hints for all animals and monsters in Tibia. You do not have to follow this advice, but previous players have paid for this knowledge with their lives.
- Before you go into a new dungeon for the first time, ask an experienced player what you might expect to find down there. Make sure you are carrying the proper equipment and that you have the
skills necessary for fighting the monsters that live there. If at all possible go into the dungeon accompanied by a player who has been there before and knows what to expect. He will be able to help
you and teach you how to cope with the monsters found in that dungeon.
- Always try to carry a life fluid or a healing rune around with you so that you can quickly heal yourself. A mana potion is helpful, but it may tempt you into making a rash decision that costs you your life.
Therefore we recommend a life potion as being a better choice for the novice.
- As you spend time killing monsters, you will find that you gain experience and various fighting skills.
- Only when you find it easy to kill one type of monster then you are probably ready to fight the next stronger type of monster. Do not attempt a new monster if you still struggle to kill a weaker type.
- Only attack one monster at a time. Avoid attacking groups of monsters, and try not to let them encircle you. Even the weakest of monsters can become dangerous when they attack in large groups.
- Use the local conditions, such as trees, rocks, etc., to your advantage.
- If you find that you are losing a lot of Hit Points after only a few blows from the monster then RUN! By all means be brave, but do not be stupid.
If you follow the hints that you have read here and at the individual monster sites, you should not have many problems in enjoying a long Tibian life.
